Diana Tabbara is the President of the Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association of Beirut, becoming in 2026 the first woman to lead the historic institution since its establishment in 1878.  An interior architect and entrepreneur by background, she is the founder of D-TAB, a firm specializing in interior architecture and the execution of residential, commercial, and hospitality projects across Lebanon and internationally. Widely regarded as one of the leading interior designers in Lebanon, her work is distinguished by a refined design philosophy that seamlessly integrates creativity with executional precision, delivering comprehensive design solutions rooted in quality, functionality, and identity. She holds a Master’s degree in Design Management from Istituto Marangoni in Milan, where she developed a global perspective on design strategy and business integration. Her portfolio spans a diverse range of local and international projects, reflecting a consistent commitment to excellence and innovation in the field. Her journey with Makassed began years before her presidency, serving as an architecture and development consultant and later as a member of its Board of Trustees. Today, she leads one of Lebanon’s longstanding educational, healthcare, and social institutions, whose network includes schools, vocational and technical education, a university, and Makassed General Hospital, alongside broader community and social initiatives. Her leadership focuses on institutional development, sustainability, education, healthcare, and strengthening Makassed’s role in empowering future generations.
