Mr Jabre embarked on his financial career over four decades ago in London and Geneva, and has received numerous prestigious awards in recognition of his excellence in the fund management industry. He began in 1983 at BAII Asset Management, where he built his expertise in equity-linked fixed income products, becoming a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Management in 1986 before transferring to its London-based business. In 1997 he joined a leading London-based alternative asset manager as a Partner, where over nearly a decade he took on responsibility for asset allocation and managed over USD 7bn in global investments, spanning a market neutral fund and a range of long-only and absolute return strategies. In 2001, Mr Jabre founded the Association Philippe Jabre (APJ) in Lebanon, a not-for-profit organisation that assists graduate students in gaining access to higher education in Lebanon and abroad. In 2006, he established Jabre Capital Partners in Geneva as a wealth and asset management company, servicing institutions and high-net-worth individuals. In December 2021, Mr Jabre acquired majority ownership of Lebanon's oldest and most iconic brewery, Almaza. The following year he decided to settle in Lebanon, having spent most of his professional life abroad while remaining closely connected to the country throughout. Mr Jabre sits on the Board of the American University of Beirut and the Columbia University Business School Board of Overseers. He holds a BA in Economics and an MBA from Columbia University, completed in 1982.
