Ali Jaber is one of the Arab world’s leading media figures, with extensive experience across television, journalism, academia, and media leadership. He serves as Chief Content Officer of MBC Group, overseeing its television channels and Shahid digital platform, and as Dean of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication at the American University in Dubai. Born and educated in Beirut, Jaber holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from AUB, a Master’s degree in Media from Syracuse University, and an MLitt in Arab Satellite Media from the University of Cambridge, completed in 2025. His career spans more than three decades. In 1992, he played a key role in establishing Future Television, which he managed until 2003. In 2004, he contributed to restructuring Dubai Media Incorporated and relaunching its satellite channels. In 2008, he established the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication at AUD. Jaber began his journalism career with The New York Times, The Times (London), and the German Press Agency (DPA). He has served on several boards and advisory councils and is a frequent speaker at major regional and international forums. He also co-founded Arab Youth Leaders and serves as a goodwill ambassador for SANAD.
