Tracy Najem is a cyberpsychologist and the first certified cyberpsychologist in Lebanon, with an MSc in Cyberpsychology from Nottingham Trent University. Today, Tracy spends much of her time in classrooms and community spaces across Lebanon, helping adolescents understand how social media and AI tools are built to capture attention and shape habits, and how to navigate them effectively. She also holds one-on-one sessions with teens facing online addiction, providing psychoeducation on managing time online. She works closely with parents and teachers, giving them tools to guide young people through their digital lives with confidence instead of fear. Tracy is careful not to frame technology as something to avoid. Her approach is grounded in balance, weighing what these platforms offer against their costs, and leaving people with practical steps they can use. Her broader goal is to establish cyberpsychology as a recognized field in Lebanon and the MENA region, bringing digital wellness into schools, universities, and companies. She continues to develop new programs, partnerships, and resources that bring this emerging science to the communities that need it most.
