Lyna Comaty is the Advisor for Special Projects to the First Lady of the Republic of Lebanon, focusing on the development and implementation of initiatives around active citizenship and youth empowerment, namely the School of Citizenship. She serves as an executive committee member of the National Commission for Lebanese Women (NCLW), a member of the Board of Directors of College Louise Wegmann, and a member of the board of the Treehouse Foundation focused on education. Lyna’s experience spans academia, policy research, and university lecturing. She holds a PhD in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, and is the author of “Post-Conflict Transition in Lebanon: The Disappeared of the Civil War” published with Routledge in 2019. Her interests include public policy reform, development and education. She is active in civil and political organizations and regularly consults with local and international NGOs.
