Maroun N. Chammas is a lebanese entrepreneur and business leader whose activities span multiple sectors including oil and gas, telecommunications, F&B, as well as technology and innovation.  He co-founded with his brother Lebanon’s first internet service provider, Data Management (IDM), and later led the acquisition and reinvestment of Cablevision in 2018. He is the Vice Chairman and General Manager of MEDCO Holdings, one of Lebanon’s leading oil and gas companies, and has served as Chairman and CEO of Berytech since 2003. In this role, he plays an active part in shaping Lebanon’s innovation ecosystem by supporting entrepreneurship, venture capital, and startup growth. He has led several industry associations, was recognized by Forbes Middle East as a Top Business Leader, was a shark on Shark Tank Lebanon, Seasons 1&2, and founded the Maroun N. Chammas Award which supports excellence in technology and sports.
