The United Nations Development Programme is the UN’s global development agency. In Lebanon, UNDP works with national and local institutions, communities, civil society and the private sector on governance, economic recovery, climate and environment, local development, peacebuilding, energy and institutional reform. Its projects aim to strengthen public institutions, support communities and livelihoods, encourage sustainable development and help Lebanon respond to economic, social and environmental challenges. UNDP also plays a role in bringing international expertise and development funding into projects implemented across the country.
